Until I became a Teacher, I didn't realize how many plus sized people stay away from Yoga because they believe it's only for thin bodies. Even worse, I was so disappointed to hear stories of big people being shamed or made to feel less than when they have attempted to do Yoga.
Solution?
CURVY Basics. Start with my Curvy Body and I right here. This class is ideal for those who have never stood on a mat and might feel a little nervous (or maybe even a lot). This class would also be ideal for a plus sized person that has done Yoga but is looking for more information on how to modify Yoga poses to work for YOUR BODY. Safe, judgment free space to explore Yoga with CURVES.
This 6 week series is the perfect place to start if you're feeling unsure about coming to a public yoga class, and we hope you'll feel ready to join our beginners yoga class when you're done.
6 weeks series Wednesdays at 7:30pm $90.00+gst
*This class is a specialty series and is not eligible for use with your monthly or 10 visit pass, drop ins will be welcOMe once we have our minimum numbers.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga is especially for the 55+ crowd, it is also appropriate for those with health concerns, mobility issues, recovering or looking for a very gentle yoga practice, beginners may also enjoy this practice. Find functional movement that will aid you in accomplishing your day to day tasks, this class will give you breathing and movement practices to support your life.

Hips + Core Vinyasa

Join Tiffany Rose for a flow class with a special focus on activating and strengthening the core and hips. Flow and sweat to a fun soundtrack, the best way to progress with this class is to practice consistently (3-4 times a week). We highly recommend you combine this class with other power, vinyasa and flow classes for a full body effect.
This class is challenging, faster paced and is not appropriate for those who do not have a pre-existing fitness practice or who haven’t been practicing yoga regularly. If you are unsure please feel free to ask us.

Kids Yoga

This class is perfect for Kid's aged 5-12!
A six week series where Little OMies learn how Yoga can help us move our bodies, breathe deeply, manage difficulty.
Miss Jamie brings nature appreciation, kindness and compassionate action toward ourselves, our cOMmunity, animals and nature. She also weaves First Nation's teachings and wisdom into the class.
This is such a rich and rewarding experience for Kids. We are an inclusive environment and we will accommodate disabilities and/or special needs, please email us if you have any questions or concerns.

Mindflow

Mom + Baby Yoga

Join Jamie on Thursdays starting September 28th for a class that incorporates your babe into the flow.
Perfect for Mama Bears with babe's newborn to crawling.
This 6 week series will help you connect to your post-natal body and your sweet little one.

Power Yoga

Power Yoga was evolved from Ashtanga Yoga. It is a strong, challenging practice that requires focus, discipline and the willingness to release expectations.
Safety is our greatest priority in any class, we offer modifications and incorporate props into this class to ensure accessibility.
Previous experience and an existing fitness practice are highly recommended prior to joining this class, if you're unsure please check with us.
Tiffany teaches this class on Tuesday mornings and Stevie teaches it on Saturdays

Restorative Yoga

Join Kim this fall for Vinyasa foundations, the perfect transition! This class will challenge you but will have plenty of modifications and props integrated.
This class is appropriate for most levels of ability but if you are an absolute beginner you may want to try Beginner's Yoga first.

This practice is widely beneficial for many different reasons. Many athletes love practicing Yin Yoga along with those who have tight joints.
Each teacher brings a different style and flavour to this practice so be sure to try them all out.

Yoga for Backs

Join Tiffany Rose for a therapeutic-based class that focuses on the back.
All levels are welcome.
We begin with mindful breathing and opening, followed by gentle awakening and awareness, finishing with a massage-type myofascial release with therapy balls and deep relaxation.
This is a studio favourite, and is a great class for beginners. Please arrive early to ensure your spot and set up with props.
